Emergency Lockout
Locked out of your car, house, or office? Call us first — we usually arrive faster than a tow truck and rarely need to damage anything.
What To Do First
- Get to a safe spot. If you're roadside, move away from traffic. If a child or pet is locked inside in a hot car, call 911 first — they can break a window faster than any locksmith.
- Check the obvious. Other doors, the trunk, a spouse with a spare. (We won't be offended if you find your keys in your pocket.)
- Call us. (912) 623-4066. Tell us your location, what kind of lock, and whether anyone or anything urgent is inside.
Car Lockouts
We use long-reach tools and automotive picks to open most car doors without damage. Modern cars (post-2010) are increasingly designed against traditional slim-jim techniques, but we have the tools to handle them too. Most car lockouts are open in 5–15 minutes once we arrive.
Bring (or have ready when we arrive): photo ID and proof you're authorized to be in the vehicle. We don't open cars for people who can't show they belong with them.
House Lockouts
Most residential locks can be picked or bypassed without drilling. We try non-destructive methods first. If your front door has a high-security cylinder or you've lost the only key to a deadbolt that can't be picked, we'll explain the next step (which sometimes does mean replacing the cylinder) before doing anything destructive.
You'll need to show ID and something tying you to the address. For tenants, a lease, mail with your name, or a quick verification call to your landlord or property manager works.
Office / Commercial Lockouts
Same approach: non-destructive entry whenever possible. We'll need to verify your authorization to enter the space — this protects you, your employer, and us. Property managers can verify by phone if needed.
Response Time
Realistic numbers, not marketing numbers:
- Savannah / Historic District / midtown: typically 20–40 minutes during business hours.
- Pooler / Garden City / Port Wentworth: 30–50 minutes.
- Tybee Island / Wilmington Island / Skidaway: 40–60 minutes (the bridges add time).
Traffic, weather, and time of day all matter. We'll give you an honest ETA when you call, not an aspirational one.
What It Costs
Lockout pricing depends on the time of day, the location (driving distance), and the lock itself. We will quote you a price range over the phone before we drive out. There is no surprise fee when we arrive.
